You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.

THE Alligator!

I can't believe it has taken me so long to show you my most prized possession...EVER! My old 6 year old class had to make props to go along with their story they recited during the end of the year festival. The told the story, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. In the end the lady swallows an alligator and dies. I came up with the idea to make one huge alligator and have each kid hold up one part of the alligator's body at the end of the story. I drew the alligator, the kids designed their own piece, and then I spent many late nights (staying up until 3 or 4 am) finishing them since the kids didn't have time to do it during class. It really was a team effort, and it turned out pretty darn cool. I have it hanging in my new classroom!
