Shauna in South Korea

You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.

My Apartment!

I love my apartment. Compared to what some other teacher apartments look like, I feel very lucky! There are some things that will take some getting used t0- but nothing I can't handle. My biggest challenge right now is showering. As you can see, I do not have an actual shower. I just have a shower head that comes out of the sink. Due to the fact that my ceilings are only about 5 feet high, I can't even stand up in the bathroom. My showering experience consists of my crouching on the slippery tile, using one arm to hold the shower head, and the other to balance myself on the sink. This is not an enjoyable experience to say the least- but it works. I have never appreciated having a shower that I am able to stand up tall in more than I do now.

Apparently they made this bathroom for a person shorter than 5 feet!

Goofy little washer

The kitchen was also made for someone very short. I have to duck while I am cooking!

Please do not be deceived. The bed is as hard as a brick!
