Ohhhh...Canada

It is a very good thing that Monday, March 1st was a a very important holiday in Korea

(Independence Day), because this was the scene at 4:30 am for the USA vs. Canada gold medal game...

I have a feeling Americans and Canadians alike would have still been watching the game Monday morning even if it would have been a regular work day. Korean parents and children can feel very thankful that English teachers around the country were not allowed to work because I have a feeling it may have been pretty ugly.

We took a cab into Seoul at 4am unlike most people who were already there after partying all night long. It was a funny feeling going into Seoul at the exact time we'd normally be returning home from Seoul. It was completely crazy, chaotic, exhausting, loud (to say the least), and one of the most fun events I have ever taken part in. The camaraderie was incredible and the intensity was like nothing else I have ever experienced. We were not crammed into a tiny little place cheering for our school, or our state. We were cheering for our country; standing centimeters away from people with just as much patriotism and pride for a different country. While the outcome was not in our favor- the experience alone made our 4am trek into

completely worth it!
